About

Hello…

My name is Marvin Sease Jr.

As a lifestyle and wedding photographer based in Atlanta, I have a deep passion for capturing the moments that make life special. Whether it's the sky falling in a breathtaking scene or a quiet, intimate moment, I am always ready with my camera. I love meeting new people and discovering what makes them laugh, smile, or even feel a touch of sadness. If I haven’t uncovered these emotions by the end of our session, I feel like my work isn’t complete. My mission is to capture the very best part of you through my lens, ensuring every shoot is a true reflection of your unique story.

An interesting thing about me is that I'm an Uber-techie geek. I’m fascinated by new equipment, advancements, and innovative ways to reinvent the old. If my passion for photography hadn’t taken center stage, I’d likely be immersed in the music world—singing, producing, writing, and contributing creatively. My music collection spans all genres, reflecting the constant song or melody playing in my head, 8 days a week, 24 hours a day. And no, that's not a typo. “8 days a week” is a phrase my father, the late, great blues singer Marvin Sease, made famous.

So when I say my love for music is in my DNA, I mean just that. It is embedded in my DNA. And just as my love for music is a very big part of who I am, my desire to bring joy to those that I photograph is the same. I aspire to help my clients capture the important events of their lives. It is truly my heart's joy.

I credit the year 2013 as the beginning of my professional journey into photography.  However it was this image above that I took in the summer of 2012 that is my absolute favorite.  It was an engagement photo that I took for some friends of mine, and compared to now, when I took this image, I can admit that I really didn’t know what I was doing. lol But the moment I snapped this image, the stars aligned. It was simply the right moment at the right time.  This image proved to me that photography wasn’t just about knowing the technical side of operating the camera.  It’s not even about it being the right time of day. It’s about the relationship of your subject and capturing the right moment. Understanding that once that moment is gone you can’t get it back.  Its about establishing a bond of sorts between the client and myself so that I am in tune with that moment so that I can freeze it..  so that I can capture it..  so that I can Sease The Moment…
